Slab-Bar Forming Line, New Bakery Offerings from Egan Food Technologies’ on Display at Pack Expo

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.—Egan Food Technologies, a confectionery and baking process equipment manufacturer and service provider, will showcase at the 2014 Pack Expo its popular Slab Bar Forming Line along with offerings from its newly expanded line of equipment for the baking industry.

Since first being introduced in 2012, the Slab-Bar Forming Line has quickly become Egan Food Technologies’ most popular equipment. Because the line is conveniently manufactured in the USA, lead time is shorter than with overseas suppliers, allowing manufacturers to quickly ramp up production and capitalize on growing consumer demand for snack and health bars. According to Mintel, this $3.7 billion market is forecast to grow 13% through 2017.

The Slab-Bar Forming Line is completely customizable and designed to manufacture more fragile products, such as nutritional, granola, crisp rice, meal replacement, energy, cereal and other bars. The modular design allows for the addition of custom features such as cold slab conveyors, cooling tunnels, caramel and chocolate layering systems, slitter and spreader assemblers, ultra-sonic bar cutters, toppers and specialty stringers.

Egan Food Technologies will also feature a selection of new equipment from its expanded portfolio for the baking industry, such as ovens, cooling tunnels, dough feed equipment, wirecuts, rotary molders, laminating and sheeting equipment and other baking equipment.

The slab-bar forming line will be on display at the Egan Food Technologies’ Pack Expo booth, 2490 located in the Confectionary Pavilion, in Chicago from November 2-5.
