GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.—Egan Food Technologies, a confectionery and baking process equipment manufacturer and service provider, will showcase highlights from its full line of chocolate molding, depositing, slab-bar forming and extruding equipment at the 2013 Pack Expo, all of which are manufactured in and serviced from the company’s headquarters in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Among those machines will be Egan Food Technologies continuous extruder with features for improved weight control and easy changeovers. The extruder will display a bar cutter, one of Egan Food Technologies’ many equipment options. Available in widths up to 48 inches, the equipment is designed to manufacture any product that can be extruded into ropes, such as health food bars and dough.
Additionally, Egan Food Technologies will also display its popular slab former for bars too fragile for extrusion, such as nutritional bars, granola bars, crisp rice and other cereal bars. The former’s modular design makes way for additional features, such as toppers, cooling conveyors, pressing rollers, extruders, slitter assemblers and an ultra-sonic bar cutter. Stainless steel components allow for easy sanitation and complete washdown.
